Britney Released from Hospital Early

April 17th, 2008

So I guess when the hospital wanted Britney to stay for a 14-day evaluation and treatment program, that really meant 14 days or however long it takes before we get bored with her. After only a few days in the hospital Britney was once again released early and allowed to go back to her Beverly Hills home. Did they not learn anything from the first time she was released early from the hospital and came back a mere three weeks later? I think the hospital is making a big mistake by releasing Britney early, and those mistakes are only going to hurt Britney in the long run.

After being re-released from the hospital, the first thing Britney did was go to dinner with boyfriend Adnan Ghalib at a restaurant in the Valley. In my opinion, Britney needs to get rid of the people in her life that are toxic to her, including Adnan. He only brings trouble, and the fact that he is legally still married is not helping any. His lifestyle is bringing Britney down, and I think that the best thing for her right now is to be alone. She needs to focus on her own life for a while, and stop being involved with people who are only trying to exploit her.

“I’m addicted to you, don’t you know that you’re TOXIC.”

Sam Lufti Drugged Britney?

April 5th, 2008

So the latest drama to unfold in the life of Britney Spears is that apparently Sam Lufti, Britney’s companion and manager, has been drugging Britney for weeks using Risperdol and Seroquel. Britney’s mom, Lynne Spears, has filed and been granted a restraining order against Lufti, forbidding him from being within 250 feet of Britney, her home, Cedar-Sinai hospital, and the homes of her family members. According to Lynne, the reason Britney has been acting so crazy lately is that Lufti has been drugging her. Well Lynne, since Risperdol is an anti-psychotic and Seroquel is used to treat bipolar disorder, I would think that Lufti is doing you and your daughter a favor by giving her these prescriptions. Since her behavior is mimicking that of someone who suffers from some kind of mental disease, I would think that these drugs would have helped, not harmed Britney. And furthermore, if anyone was going to give Britney drugs, I would to have guess that it wouldn’t have been Sam Lufti who would have done it: it would have been Britney. We all know that Britney has gone a little crazy lately and it wouldn’t shock me in the slightest if she had added drugs to her everyday lifestyle. So, Lynne Spears, before you go blaming everyone else for your daughters mistakes, how about you blame the one person who should be in control of her life: Britney.

Britney Hospitalized for Second Time

March 15th, 2008

Just three weeks after her first hospitalization, Britney Spears has done it again. Following a fight with her manager Sam Lufti, Britney began speeding around her neighborhood like a madwoman until finally the police and fire department were called. And luckily this time she didn’t have a standoff with police or hold her kids hostage—Britney actually went willingly. Does this mean she’s finally admitting defeat and agreeing that she’s crazy? I don’t know if I’d go that far yet, but she was joking and laughing about the incident once she re-arrived at Cedar-Sinai Hospital. Once at the hospital, Britney was placed under a 14-day watch and has been seeing a psychiatrist everyday. Following her admittance into the hospital, Britney’s dad and lawyer become in control her affairs and assets, including her $40 million estate. (So why the fake Gucci Britney, why?) Britney didn’t seem to very successful at controlling her own affairs, so lets just hope that her dad and lawyer can do a better job. I really think that this is best thing for Britney at this time; she is under too much stress and has fallen too far off her rocker to care for herself anymore. I can only hope that this hospital stay will actually knock some sense into Britney, and that doctors can finally figure out what’s wrong with her!

Britney Vacations in Mexico with Paparazzi Boyfriend

February 27th, 2008

Wow! This has been one crazy week for Britney Spears. After being admitted to the hospital following a standoff with police and being interviewed by the “esteemed” Dr. Phil, Britney and her paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib jetted off to Mexico for a quick vacation. Britney, once again donning that awful pink wig, arrived in Rosarito Beach, Mexico on January 10th and didn’t waste anytime before leaving the hotel to shop. Her BIG purchase of the day: a fake Gucci purse. Come on Britney, fake? I guess all of the money she’s spent on hospital stays and ugly wigs have finally cleaned her out. People.com reports that Britney and Adnan spent a whopping $60 on their big shopping spree in Mexico, including the fake Gucci bag for Britney and a rosary for Adnan.

All I have to say is, maybe Britney’s the one who should have bought the rosary. First she gets admitted to the hospital and then loses custody of her kids, but instead of staying in California to clean up her life, she jets off to Mexico Little Kim style in a pink wig? Britney, honey, I hope you’re praying to something right now if you ever plan on getting those kids (and you career) back anytime soon!

Britney Spears: Star of the Dr. Phil Show?

February 5th, 2008

Just three days after her standoff with police, Britney was visited by TV talk show host Dr. Phil about recording a special show for his upcoming season. He wants to analyze Britney and figure out “what went wrong” in the life of this pop star, and then broadcast it on his show for millions to see. Does anyone else find this ridiculous? Britney is in a psychiatric hospital right now with dozens of doctors who are working to find out what’s wrong with her, but I guess in our celeb-obsessed generation being on daytime television everyday makes you a bit more qualified. And here’s an idea Dr. Phil, how about you bring people on your show that really need help, not people who are going to boost your ratings for a day.

Well, it seems like Britney’s family shared my sentiments, since they pulled the plug on the show just a few days later. Dr. Phil released a statement agreeing with Britney’s family’s decision not to air the special, saying that the situation was “too intense at this time” and that “out of consideration for the family” he chose not to air the special. Can anyone say: Yeah Right! Dr Phil, we all know you wanted to make millions off Britney’s breakdown and air it on your show, and we all know you are more than a little angry that her parents won’t let you air it. Don’t lie to us by saying it was your decision and that you agree with it, no one believes you anyway.

January 2008: Britney gets admitted to Cedar-Sinai Hosptial’s psychiatric ward

January 20th, 2008

2007 was a crazy year for Ms. Britney Spears—she welcomed her second son Jayden James into the world, make a complete fool out of herself on the VMA’s (what PR professional would really let her leave the house with that stomach hanging out and that awful outfit on?), and finally divorced her groupie husband Kevin Federline. And just when I thought she couldn’t get any crazier, she literally went crazy. On January 4, 2008, just four days after she rang in the New Year with fellow party-girl Paris Hilton, Britney had a major meltdown in her Beverly Hills mansion. According to Perez Hilton and the Internet Movie Database, Britney was taken from her home by the paramedics to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for “psychiatric evaluation” following a four-hour standoff in which she locked herself and her two young sons inside of her California home. The incident is being referred to by the police as a “family custody dispute” as of now. Family custody dispute? More like Britney has been on the verge of crazy for years now and she picked this night to prove it to the rest of the world. Since her standoff with the police and admittance into the hospital, Britney has been on the cover of every major magazine and newspaper on the shelves. Is this a PR nightmare for Ms. Spears, or just her way of building up notoriety? If this is any preview of how the rest of 2008 will go for Britney, she will definitely be remembered forever as “famous for being infamous.”
